Featuring a mind-bending remix from Rennie Pilgrem, So Angry has been described as "One of those tunes that will tear the club in half" by Rob Savage of the Groovediggerz, and "An electro-fied version of the hairy lemon disolving vitamin pickmeup in a breakbeat dancefloor format!" by NAPT.

GENERAL : January 2008 update

Just a mini update for the new year.

Soon, although I'm not entirely sure when, you will be able to get your mitts on "So Angry", courtesy of Diverted Traffic records. It will be backed by a remix by the one, the only, the father of the genre, Rennie Pilgrem. Crikey!

Also, there's still some more stuff from me (or more accurately Dr.AwkwArD) coming on Re:Connect Records. "Realism", one of my recent tracks which I'm not calling finished until I'm totally happy with it, may well feature on the release, but I don't think it'll be the A side - there's more slamming business to be dealt with first :)

Also a track I've had on my hard drive for well over a year will be seeing the light of day as part of a compilation release over at Reunion Studios. The track's called "Minus One" and it's a melancholy electroballad with heavily vocodered vocals from yours truly. More news on that as and when.

Parp!

GENERAL : August 2007 update

I'm back from the Big Chill, and I'll upload some photos from that, and the Isle of Wight festival, at some point in the future.

Musically, things are going well. I've completed yet another Tim Follin tribute track for a different project - more news on that soon - and So Angry is currently getting signed for release, backed by a remix from someone rather special...

As for the album stuff I hinted at in the last update, you'll be pleased to hear that I'm working on the final few tracks and edits here and there on a collection of works that will go by the name Abandoned. 12 tracks, some you've heard, some new versions of tracks you've heard, and some totally new stuff. Should be a giggle.

GENERAL : July 2007 update

I have returned from the Isle of Wight festival intact, so you can all stop worrying now. I got photos a plenty, but haven't got around to getting them off the camera yet.

The weekend was ace, but the festival wasn't as good as it could be - maybe I've been spoiled by Glasto and the Big Chill, but a festival with only one stage and where you have to buy drinks tokens to get drinks seems a bit... odd. Ah well, Big Chill's but a few short weeks away.

In the interim, I've got a follow up track to So Angry on the go which will hopefully be done soonish. This stuff I've been doing recently is seemingly not fitting quite so nicely with my older stuff, so that leads me to believe it will belong on the second album, which of course begs the response...

"...second album? But where's the first one?"

Where indeed?...

GENERAL : RSS Feed

I'm not exactly au fait with this new fangled technology known as RSS feeds. Someone at work set up something called the RSS Owl for me, but all I use it for is a cheap joke about turning my owl on. But anyway.

Behold - Abandoned Sheep's RSS feed! You can use this in some way I expect. It's now got its own link over there on the right, along with links to my MySpace page and my Flickr page. Enjoy!

GENERAL : Computer Music Feature

Crikey! When I was asked by Computer Music Magazine to give some pointers on how to make a lead sound, I didn't realise I'd be featuring in such a prominent way!

The latest issue (October 2006) has a feature entitled "The Ultimate Lead Sound". Advice comes from one of CM's writers (Paul Taylor, of nervous_testpilot fame), Darren Tate (of Jurgen Vries fame) and me, of little fame!

To those of you who followed the link at the bottom of my bio, welcome! You can download music by clicking on the links listed over there on the right.

I've given in to peer pressure and decided to make my website a blogsite.

So, anyway, time to post some interesting links and whatnot.
