SITE NEWS : New links

Attention all! Vaguely pointless little update this, but I've added a few links to the side bar, in the Personal Section.

You can enjoy the random madness that is my Youtube favourites list - be prepared for a lot of kitten videos - and the utter inanity of my extremely uninformative Twitter feed - be prepared for nothing spread out over eternity.

That's all - back to your lives, people, nothing to see here!

COMMUNITY : ASAP activity kersplosion

Those production masters A Scholar And A Physician have pulled out their collective finger and are making their album happen, having signed to Brainlove Records.

Step one? Release "She's A Witch" as a triple A-side single, alongside "I'm Not Normal" and "Shouldn't Dwell".

Step two? Make a video for "She's A Witch".

Dilligent followers of this anemic webpage will know that I have contributed tracks to the ASAP free albums, collaborated on the 'overnight sensation' Mario Dirty Mix with ASAP and richBRF, and have even played on stage at Truck Festival as backing for ASAP. I even rapped once. As such, I wholeheartedly endorse this product or service. As details on where to buy the single and album appear, I'll add 'em.

If you need more reason to check out the video, know this: they rhyme "Witch" with "Quidditch".

COMMUNITY : nervous_testpilot Mirror's Edge remix

nervous_testpilot has produced a remix of Mirror's Edge's theme song "Still Alive" for a remix competition.

Here's details about it : Still Alive - Lisa Miskovsky - nervous_testpilot's soundtrack mix

If you like it, and you want it to be heard by EA then if you could favourite the mix on JamGlue that'd be ace. It involves signing up to the site, but it's free and seems quite nifty.

MUSIC : Realism on Soundcloud

I'm setting some stuff up on SoundCloud at the mo.

Binster on SoundCloud

Therein you'll find a smattering of tracks from "Abandoned", plus "So Angry" and a new track, which isn't quite final yet, called "Realism". In fact, let's try embedding it...

That seems to work :)

Go there, have a listen, enjoy, and feel free to drop music that you think I'd like to hear into my drop box.

MUSIC : Trademark Collaboration Free Download

Back in 2006 Trademark asked me if I'd like to collaborate on a track with them. Seeing as they're brilliant Electro-Pop Lab Technicians, I said yes and we did.

The result has just turned up over on their website where they are currently giving away free MP3s of stuff that hasn't appeared on either of their albums, Want More and Raise The Stakes.

The track's called Get Out While I Can and I added little plinky bits and strings and synth stuff in the background.

Download "Get Out While I Can" by Trademark Ft. Binster

Enjoy!

COMMUNITY : nervous_testpilot music

A Christmas treat from the Nervous one!

nervous_testpilot's Download store

Go here, and you can download some absolutely wonderful music from vintage-era nervous_testpilot. They're 50p a track, so you really can't complain, and they range from the sublime (No New Messages) to the ridiculous (Stupid and Happy are Often the Same).

No one knows a square wave like nervous_testpilot knows a square wave.

COMMUNITY : Trademark need you

Trademark, the Oxford based labcoat synthpop band, are in the top 50 bands on Popworld's voting page.

They have a brand new track online, which will be on their forthcoming album, and it's called "Come To Love". If you go there and listen to the track, vote on it or text in and download it for small money you increase their chances of getting on tv. Sunday morning television would be improved beyond measure if they were on it.

Go on. Go there and vote for them. It makes sense.

COMMUNITY: Myspace

I've got myself a myspace page, which has a number of things on it. Perhaps the most interesting is the long awaited Album Mix of Icon, which is, among other things, longer and less painful on the ears, as I've toned down the EQ and compression on it.

Binster on myspace

Go there and check it out, you madmen! And women.

COMMUNITY: New nervous_testpilot music

nervous_testpilot is back with a new mp3 from his Determinance soundtrack, which you can grab from his website for absolutely no pennies. It's prog-trance at its finest. No man can do twiddly bits like nervous.

Also available is his beautifully messy Raaw Christmaas Maash Damijj - a mashup set of christmas classics which have been ruined especially for the listener. Probably should have linked that one a bit earlier.

COMMUNITY: ASAP Albums Bonanza

A Scholar And A Physician have relaunched the five existing "ASAP Present..." albums, all of which can be downloaded for free here. Get in there! There's a couple of Christmassy ones in there, which makes the timing of this update impeccable.

They're absolutely top albums. For a start, I have tracks on them, and for another thing, lots of other people have even better tracks on there as well. Coming soon for download is the now legendary, elusive Skew album. A new form of music has begun!

COMMUNITY: Truck 8

Truck festival is over for another year. ASAP performed (in matching tshirts) with a little help from MC Angry Anderson performing the rap on Turtle Power. We had 8 people on stage this year, which must be a record.

Musical highlights were Zea (with dancing weirdo on keys) MC Lars, Tony Vegas, Mesaplex (a cover of Van Gelis' Blade Runner!) Trademark, Piney Gir (good singing from PC), nervous_tespilot (big shame we couldn't hear the final track, but such a good gig 's no biggie...) and more besides that I can't remember at the mo.

Photos are now online in my Flickr photo album, and if you have pics please add them to the Truckfest photo pool.

COMMUNITY: Pimping

I feel compelled to point out that nervous_testpilot has been updating his website a lot recently. Also, two of the posts have been about me, which is perhaps the compelling thing. Regardless, I recommend heading over there to sample his ouvre. It's great - I recommend all the Oxford denizens to seek him out and listen to him playing live. It's an experience you will not soon forget.

And while I'm in a pimping mood, be advised that Rich has put up the video he and a very nice chap called Dan did for Trademark. They've got some more video stuff cooking up, which I probably can't say anything about suffice to say it looks absolutely tops.
