MUSIC : Abandoned, the album, released

That's it, I've had it with these mother loving tracks on this mother loving album. Everybody strap in! I'm about to open some loving windows.

The album is done. Go to the page linked above and enjoy a free album download of 12 tracks, each at 320kbps, and album art work and ringtones and even a short story about a tyre, courtesy of MeibatsuRen.

WHY IT'S FREE

It's free because the album features samples of other copyright material, and there are tracks which are remixes of copyright material. I can't imagine it would be easy to license all that, and the album's just sort of been sitting on my hard drive for a while now, so I thought it'd be best for people to hear it and have it than for it to sit doing nothing.

I didn't quite expect such a big interest in the download (in one day, it caused 10gb of traffic, putting me quite a bit over my bandwidth limit...) but that makes me happy, albeit while facing a bandwidth fine... :)

Anyway, enjoy the album. I enjoyed making it.

MUSIC : Minus One released on Reunion Studios

New tune for you!

Well, new to you. It's actually been languishing on my hard drive for quite a while now, waiting for the impending release of Abandoned the album which seems to be in a stagnant period. Moop. Ah well.

The track is called Minus One and is available as part of the Reunion Studios-released download-only free compilation album "Vast Present & Future" grabbable below :

Reunion Studios - Vast Present & Future

It's track number 2. It features me singing. Through a vocoder. Enjoy!

MUSIC : Syntax Era (C64 Remix CD)

Do you like 80s music? Do you like C64 game tunes? Want to hear the two collide? Then look no further!

17 tracks, each one a classic game soundtrack produced in the style of a classic 80s pop hit.

My take on Ghouls and Ghosts in the style of Billie Jean features as track number 5.

Enjoy!

GENERAL : January 2008 update

Just a mini update for the new year.

Soon, although I'm not entirely sure when, you will be able to get your mitts on "So Angry", courtesy of Diverted Traffic records. It will be backed by a remix by the one, the only, the father of the genre, Rennie Pilgrem. Crikey!

Also, there's still some more stuff from me (or more accurately Dr.AwkwArD) coming on Re:Connect Records. "Realism", one of my recent tracks which I'm not calling finished until I'm totally happy with it, may well feature on the release, but I don't think it'll be the A side - there's more slamming business to be dealt with first :)

Also a track I've had on my hard drive for well over a year will be seeing the light of day as part of a compilation release over at Reunion Studios. The track's called "Minus One" and it's a melancholy electroballad with heavily vocodered vocals from yours truly. More news on that as and when.

Parp!

MUSIC : Steve's Lament

A new tune for your ears!

Binster - Steve's Lament

This one was started off as a background music piece for a friend of mine (called Steve) which went a bit too melodic for him to use, but I decided to name it after him all the same.

It's being released via Reunion Studios, a free netlabel through which I previously released Yvek. It's a lovely melodic one, plinky and chorally and all that.

Enjoy!
